Vision

  • A coalition of religious and secular organizations working together to improve the quality of life by assisting families in the areas of marriage preparation, enhancement, and restoration. 
  • A community where enhanced marriage preparation is the norm and marriages and families take advantage of resources available.
  • A community where divorce rates and single parent families are decreasing.

Did You Know?

More than half of all marriages in the United States end in divorce.
   
   Cohabitation before marriage raises the failure rate to 3 out of every 4 marriages.

Almost half of all babies born in Aiken County are born to single mothers.
 
   Almost one third of all children in Aiken County live in single parent families.

More that 4 out of 5 delinquent teenagers live in a family where the parent(s) are hurting.

   Almost 3 out of 4 juveniles or young adults in long-term correctional institutes come from single parent families.

The Aiken area wants families to succeed.  FAMCO is working toward this goal by encouraging the community to sign the Aiken Community Marriage Agreement and by providing appropriate family and marriage resources.
